And the killer wasn’t done yet. On December 13, 1989, just a month after the discovery of Judy Lynn Angel's body, 23-year-old Christina Leal was found in Quail Valley. Unlike the other victims, she was fully clothed and at first it did not appear as though she’d been sexually assaulted or mutilated. An autopsy would show otherwise, Leal had been killed by a single stab wound to the heart. She’d also been strangled and, in a bizarre twist, the killer had inserted a light bulb into her vagina. Afterwards, he’d apparently re-dressed the corpse and left her to be discovered. He’d left a number of clues at the scene, including tire tracks, pubic hairs and fibers. These would prove that the man who killed Christina Leal was the same man who had murdered Kimberly Lyttle. The police were still no closer to catching him though, and his crimes were escalating.
